The winners of the 2024 Irish Times Innovation Awards have been announced. As the sponsor of the IT & Fintech category, we are delighted to congratulate the category winner, Skippio.

Skippio is an Irish start-up founded in 2022 to reduce queues at large events. The app allows fans to order and pay for food and drink, from anywhere in the venue. It provides real-time updates on collection times, so users don’t have to wait in line. Skippio combines multiple venues into one platform, making it more convenient for users. It also offers unique insights into user spending habits for brands and partners.

The prize for this category was presented by Rowena Fitzgerald, Co-Head of our Financial Regulation team. Partners Conall Geraghty and Anne Harkin also participated in the judging panels this year.

Irish fintech Fexco was named the overall winner of this year’s Awards, for its new sustainability technology PACE (Platform for Analysing Carbon Emissions). Fexco also took top prize in the Sustainability category.

The Irish Times Innovation Awards celebrate the best in business innovation in Ireland. Visit The Irish Times website for more details on this year’s winners.
