Gemma Allen, our Director of North America Market and Strategy, joined Kieran Cuddihy as a guest on Newstalk’s The Hard Shoulder.

Gemma discussed the potential impact of the US election on business and the economy, and how an administration can affect the markets.

The US is Ireland’s largest trading partner, with our two-way economic relationship exceeding €1 trillion annually.

Discussing the impact of a new administration on US multinationals in Ireland, Gemma said: “On the multinational side the resilience was proven from 2016 to 2020, we really saw the reasons and rationale that US companies choose Ireland. Tax is obviously one factor, talent, access to EU markets, and a pro-business outlook from the Irish Government which is very important.”
