We hosted a webinar on Thursday 10 February looking at the Data Sharing and Governance Act 2019, which provides for the regulation of the sharing of information, including personal data, between public bodies.

During this webinar, we discussed the impact of the Act on data sharing in the public sector and the role of the recently established Data Governance Board. We also discussed the upcoming deadline of 31 March 2022, after which section 38 of the Data Protection Act 2018 can no longer be relied upon as the legal basis for data sharing arrangements between public bodies.
