Corporate Sustainability Reporting

The Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) entered into force on 5 January 2023 and was transposed into Irish law on 6 July 2024 by the European Union (Corporate Sustainability Reporting) Regulations 2024. The legislation drastically changes the sustainability reporting landscape in the EU by requiring a large number of companies to make extensive disclosures on a broad range of environmental, social and governance matters.

Early preparation for sustainability reporting is crucial. Our Corporate Governance and Compliance team is available to assist your business in understanding its obligations under the new legislation and developing a roadmap for compliance.

The new framework is also likely to accelerate stakeholder demand for reliable and comparable sustainability information on a wider basis from businesses of all shapes and sizes. Please speak to a member of our Corporate Governance team if you would like to discuss how your business may be impacted going forward.
